How to use it
- Choose a photo. Pictures with a clear subject work best.
- Pick a method. “Automatic (AI)” finds the main subject. “By color” removes a plain background; click the preview to choose its color.
- Remove the background and download the PNG. Choose a new background color if you do not want transparency.
The first time you use the AI method, a small model (about 4.5 MB) is downloaded from this site and cached by your browser; after that it works without waiting. It is a general-purpose model, so hair, fur and complex scenes may need touching up. Saving as JPG fills the cut-out area with a solid color because JPG has no transparency.
